Looks like a very, very good bore indeed.
BTW, to get the 3rd picture to come out better, try it again, but shine the light into the chamber at an angle, not straight down the bore (as it appears to have been). This will produce a better contrast pic. of the rifling.

Jon--it may never have been fired (something that I intend to correct soon), but it most certainly looks like it has been dropped more than once!

What number do you need to make it match? Presumably it will be an A-prefix, under 5,000.

Actually, my memory was faulty. The carbines go up at least to A6000.
