I think we will find the AR will be one of those timeless weapons like: 1911 45 ACP, Winchester Model 94, M1icon Carbine, and .38 Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers. Ubiquitous and still produced after many decades and generations....

    Unfired? That's just wrong.

    some early cartridges

An early Remington 222 Special for the waffle magazineAttachment 50212Attachment 50213

The other is the 224E2 from Winchester, old data states that the Rem 222 Special and Winchester 224E2 are not interchangeable in the Winchester Light Weight Military rifle but are interchangeable in the AR15

I remember back in the late 70s my friend buying one. We bought it at a Shop drove to Desert that night and shot it the next day. None of the 10 day waiting period back then . My friend loved that thing I was enamored with the M-1 Carbine. We both fed it PMC ammo in the brown chipboard box . It wasn't till some 13 years later till I bought an AR . Now it seems the above style AR are coming back . Just check out the prices just for the Stocks .
