Does any one have ideas on the "Experimental" trigger group
MY guess- winter trigger
No standard trigger
Top lever appears to be a thumb safety-when engaged prevents lower tab from contacting primary sear
When disengaged pushes the "trigger" down such that it can pivot and trip primary sear
what do you think

Did this modification for full auto include deatachable magazines? You’d run through an en bloc pretty quick in full auto!

From Billy Pyle's book "The Gas Trap Garand" the following gas trap rifle serial number7114 manufactured in Jan 1939 code name Y.S.I.
for Yankee Self loader was the subject of a secret British trials program where this rifle was converted to a full auto machine rifle. This rifle
was fired at the Hythe ranges in May 1939. It used the eight round en bloc clip. This rifle is in the MoD Pattern Room collections

The YSL was restored to original configuration after the experiments. I examined it in the early 1980s at the Pattern Room at Nottingham. That's the first time we ever saw an A-marked trigger.

This trigger group was made by Rock Island Arsenal in the late 1950's or early 1960's . This floorplate isn't modified for a box magazine . It takes some extreme modification to the stock to fit. Two of these groups were found. I'm still researching and gathering information on them.
