    Remington 513T

My 513 was built in 1943 and has some nice intact cartouches. It was refurbed at Red River Army Depot at some point in time....it looks like they recrowned the barrel and put the RRA-C cartouche on the right side. Frank Atwoods stamp and Proof are very crisp. It's my favorite WWII trainer. regards, Rick.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I was on my high school rifle team in 1960-63 and we used Mil Remington's, Winchester's and Mossberg's and all the ammo you could shoot provided by the Army for matches. My favorite was a Remington that was parkerized with a heavy barrel and I made it to NRA distinguished with that rifle. It might have been a model 513 but old men can't remember much. Wish I could have taken it with me when I graduated. Now days, I doubt if high schools even have rifle teams, what a shame.
