    Unknown (to me) Mauser code

I have a stamped-sheet type trigger guard for a 98k that is marked "qnw" if you look towards the front of the rifle, or "mub" if you read the other way. This code is not in my otherwise comprehensive book on Germanicon markings. The trigger guard has NO other markings.

Any ideas as to the source/manufacturer, anyone?

    Hi Patrick,

qnw is a marking of an supplier for magazines and trigger groups but its not clearly identified wich supplier. Some say it could be from Solingen ? You can find these markings also on Schmeisser MP`s and the Sturmgewehr 44.
