Armi sport 1842 smoothbore
Hello,
I was wondering what anyone has to say about the 1842 smoothbore made by armi-sport.
I have one that has never been fired. Bought it for N-SSA use, but just never used it. Since then I have fallen out of the N-SSA, just dont have the time.
I might try shooting it or selling it one or the other.
Does anyone have one? How do they shoot? What are they worth?
Thanks
RR

Valuation, I have no idea- shop auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com maybe there's some floating about. Just don't be surprised if you can't get as much for it!
Most muskets are usable on deer and such out to 30-40 yards, MAYBE a bit more, but not much (assuming you're not a slob hunter). Patching the ball will help accuracy a bit close in, but it just isn't a precision weapon. Hence the massed rank fire technique! Mind you, all I've shot musket-wise are originals, but there should be no practical difference!
