Question regarding 1893 Turk Mauser.
I have an 1893 Turk Mauser that I was trying to get some on regarding the manufacturer. I assume it would have been manufactured by Mauser, or Lowe, etc, but I cannot locate any 'German' looking markings on it. The only thing that comes close is a rather ornate cursive H on the bottom of the receiver along with some numbers here and there. Otherwise, everything else is in Ottoman Turk. Is this H a factory mark?
Anything else I should look for marking wise? Thanks in advance.

These rifles went through a huge re-build program in the mid-1930's. They were all converted to 8mm and re-blued with new markings. The original German stocks tended to crack so many got new wood. Hard to find one in 7.65mm with German markings.

Yeah, this one was rechambered for 8mm in 1933. Speaking of the stock, this one does have a very small Gothic D on the left side of the butt.
