Are you sure you weren't pushing the trigger? Pushing it off that side? It's not a slap, it's a common problem with very small handguns... The cracked grip panel is a common enough break too, I'd rather have wood any time so it's less likely...

Actually, I didn't fire the FN 1922 this trip. My son did all the firing on that one, so it is possible it was poor trigger technique.
He normally is a great shot, rifle or pistol, but you are right, the FN 1922 is a small frame and requires concentration on the trigger press.
We were using this old .32 ammo this trip. I took a more careful look at it and discovered that it is actually a mix of old ammo...R-P, WRA, and Western headstamps. That could have contributed to its poor showing.

Some of that will likely be inconsistent too...a box of new Winchester or Remington would tell.

Those little Browning mod 10's and 10/22's were always a nice reliable useable little gun and very versatile. I like them

I've wanted one of those 1910 FN's since Bond used one to off Professor Dent...

Beautiful pair of firearms! I am still really fond of those Astras... as for ammo try Fiochi .32ACP. I've found it shoots nice in my .32ACP guns and typically cycles them as well. The new PPU seemed a little weak in my Walther but cycled by FN1900 just fine.

Thanks, cipher. I'll try the Fiocchi ammo.
