so a guy and a nun walk into a bar..lol

no, a guy walked into my place today, said, he 1903A3 sporter wont hold zero, the pro gunsmith at Bass pro shops told him it needed a new barrel, and that they would replace it for 600.00.
    MMK.
well, are you sure? cuz, i see that your scope is , well, a little bent...
think thats your holding zero issue..and not a barrel...Attachment 40288

So...that's bad? Would that be considered a compact scope? Or two?

    it got better.
so, i told him to go and pick up a quality scope, and i would mount it, and bore sight it for free, he came back a couple hours later..and said, that the scopes i told him to look at were too much money, and that he would rather buy a new Remington 700 that came with a new scope ect..mmk...so i buy the rifle from him, at a fair price, paid a little more then i normally would,
he comes back with a Used not new Savage 110, in 30-06..with a Simmons POS scope, and cheap rings..and are you ready? it was bent as well...and came apart the same way,
i was going to set him up with a redfield base and rings, and as soon as the scope came off the rifle, it rattled...
so,,,he took it back, and got a new 700 Remington, with cheesy scope, and hooked him up with good base and rings, he told me he will buy a good scope when he gets his taxes back..
on the plus side, i have another Remington A3, that will make a great A4 replica, so it worked out.
