STAMP MARKSi
I just bought an Eddystone S/N 1040366 barrel is stamped E 9-18 it is also stamped .30/06 NITRO PROOF ane eagle head with what looks like KBS under it, a flying bomb with GM in it and under the GM is stamped in fine lettering NOTENGLISHMADE the same GM mark and the fine lettering are stamped on the reciver. Can someone tell me what I have. Every part in the gun that I can see is marked with "E". I still haven't been able to get closeups with my camera

E means Eddystone, 9-18 means September 1918. The Eagle Head is a U.S. military marking, the .30/06 NITRO PROOF is a firing proof, I believe British.

lend lease gun, the Eagles head is a standard US mark during 1917 to 1919..would need a picture of the other to tell.
