H&R Riesing Model 65 4 Digit S/N
Hello to all. Just picked up this H&R Model 65. Paid $550. Seems to be all correct and a low S/N. It is missing one of the side screws for the Redfield sight and has an incorrect screw for the trigger guard.Check out the pics and maybe someone can comment on availability of the screws and the condition for the price. Thanks to all.

Found a screw for the trigger guard. Also just noticed it has a plastic buttplate. All the ones I have seen are steel. Did H&R use plastic at anytime or is this an aftermarket? Or someone fabricated this to fit. If they did it fits like a glove.

I think yours may be a commercial variant. The plastic buttplate is probably original but I could be wrong. Another indicator is the additional buckhorn rear sight. Mine, sn. 1146, has a military stock with DoD stamp and metal buttplate. There's no additional rear sight or dovetail present. They are great rifles.

Mine has a steel buttplate, with a 3 digit serial number stamped on the right hand side of the receiver below the woodline. The serial number is also stamped inside the stock on the bottom, forward of the magazine well cutout. I assume it is a commercial variant.
I think I have attached pictures, but I guess we'll see if I've done it correctly.
