Have you tried to contact people who own or maintain WW2 and later aircraft at Chino, CA?
You might also search for whoever imports the Czech Let 29 and 39 trainer jets.
I've seen one parked down in Fort Myers, FL (RSW) at least once or twice back in '98, when we flew 'turnarounds' through there.
Also saw a beautiful red LET-39 years ago, parked in the hangar at Millington, TN (NQA: former NAS Memphis).
Despite probably having no gun installed in these trainers, if the importer is still alive and healthy, he can probably recommend who to call in the US or eastern Europe.

The USAF must have examined some of these in the '50s. Surely there are declassified tech reports somewhere.
