    Rifles SMLE thread plates

Ive acquired a bunch of these die plates of which I have plates C,D,E and F with pairs of holes numbered 5-13. Hole 5 is good for the Fwd rigger guard screw, and it seems to be a first and 2nd cut. Is there a guide to which screw is used for each hole?

Are there more plates in the series with bigger holes than on plate 'B' and 'A'? However on Plate 'F', hole 13 is larger than hole 11 which is the smallest hole in my plates.

    Cheers

    Roy

Re these No1 threads, the last series of EMER's for the No1 shows the threads which can be tapped to accept No4 rifle BA equivalent screws. If I remember correctly, all the 4 and 8BA equivalents can be used on the No1 rifle. I'll look it up.

F is the largest in my set....that is IF I have a complete set.
They are great for cutting screws to length as well as refreshing threads.

No 1 Mk III Thread Sizes - Equivalences

I've done some research and come up with the following table of equivalences. I have note checked all to confirm, yet.

Hope this is a good start for others.
