Model 12 Depot parkerization
Hey all:
I was going thru my pile of trench guns and found one that I had completely forgotten about- (I have had is so long the orig price tag from Navy Arms was on it and I paid a whopping $75.00 for it!)
It's a US marked Model 12, all original and complete with the correct markings, EXCEPT (Here it comes), the previous owner (a police dept) hard chromed the receiver!!!
I am going to have it de-chromed and Parkerize the whole gun like a WWII rebuild. (I have 2 that are still orig blue, so I want a different look)
My questions:
1- Can anyone recommend a good place to get a authentic tone WWII park job.
2- What parts would be not refinished? Bolt, Shell lifter, etc..., and would they be blue, matt, polished etc...
3- Any other advise before I have at it?
Thanks
Hank
BTW- just to check- this is not some sort of super rare mil version with chrome receiver,,, right?

you can contact me if you like... and only if im doing the complete job...
if you have or try and have someone remove the chrome,,your on your own.
i have a chrome shop that does a great job of removing nickle and chrome.
worth every penny of the 50.00 they charge.
