Isaw a CMPicon 1903 rifle high S/N Springfield with a scant stock that was marked with a drawing number Dxxxxx-4 (forget the drawing number istelf).

I only remember hearing of some early garands that may have had their furniture with drawing numbers, but never a Springfield.

Any thoughts about impact to value? It is also marked U just forward of the rear swivel (just aft of drawing number) and 'X' in front of the magazine (on bottom of stock) and the last 4 digits of S/N stamped on the side (Greek return).

Thanks
