Carcano Cavalry Carbine Scabbaard
I've been wanting one of these since I learned of their existence but was unwilling to pay $260 for one of them. But I kept watching and finally acquired one for less than half that. It arrived today.
Still trying to figure it out but I did get the rifle in it correctly I believe although i don't believe they were meant to fit with the sling installed as it is pretty tight. I guess if you have a scabbard, you don't need a sling.
It has an odd cover that to be locked into place the bolt head fits into a pocket and it is then closed. Only then can the strap close around the stock.
I'll get some photos of it up soon.

hi, I have bought one too few years ago from a guy in Italy and also paid half ebay price. I dont think they are meant to be used with a rifle with sling. What is the year on yours? I think I have a 1935.

That's good to know. I may do some sling swapping as it just seems bare without one. I believe I only have the K98 types at present with the exception of a Finn SA marked sling which would not be appropriate for my carbine.

Your "SA" Finnish marked sling is the correct type, the only thing keeping it "inappropriate" is the marking applied by Finland. The slings are hard to find without the "SA" and are usually quite expensive if the seller knows what he has. I have always just used what I had available when it comes to the Italian slings and it is easy to ignore the "SA" mark.

Yes but the SA marked sling is already on an SA marked 7.35 so that isn't an option. Not a good one anyway. I might try putting the other sling on upside down. Thought about it anyway, haven't gone to look at it though.
