Stock disks
I found these at the TMCA show in Franklin Tennessee this past weekend. The fellow that had them had these and 3 dozen more that he personally took from Enfields that were being burned. It is a shame that this history is being destroyed.
The last one is from the Rand Light Infantry, I presume.
Anybody know what the other units are?

Looks like 3 of them were issued out of Indian arsenals...5 D.F. = Dublin Fusiliers (Madras), 2nd (Rajput) Light Infantry (Karachi, or possibly Kirkee), not sure on the 0x, but it looks to be issued out of Karachi. All subject to correction of course.

In 1895 the Royal Dublin Fusilers wouldn't have had 5 Battalions. In 1884 the First Batt were in Gibraltar and the Second were in South Africa.

And the "KA" & the "M" located where the issuing Indian arsenals typically stamp their initials? Was this a practice elsewhere in the Empire/Commonwealth? I'm working up a small collection of stock disk pictures involving this scheme, and so far, all I've seen are the Indian arsenals; KA, AA, RP, FW...etc. All of the British ones I've noted are simply stamped with the date. Any further info on the subject would be highly appreciated.

jrhead75, I'm speculating that the "M" might refer to a Militia unit

Absolutely...don't know why I didn't think of that.
