    Kudos for United Airlines

My daughter and I flew from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles today on United Airlines. We were in the 'burgh to attend my father's memorial service. I had my ACU backpack, my daughter was wearing her AF windbreaker and I had a uniform garment bag that the rigging shop turned out for me some years ago. I guess all of the clues were there that we were military. The lady at the counter asked us if we were active duty service members. We replied that we are Guard but not traveling on orders. The very nice lady waived the bag check in fees for us. I had already paid for one bag and she refunded the money on the spot! We had flown on Delta and Northwest going there, there was no mention of this benefit for service members. Kudos for UA!
