Parkerizing and solder
I vaguely remember reading a how-to article that listed a certain type of solder that could be parkerized over. I know that anything with lead or silver in it will not work but can't seem to find any info on how the tin/antimony solders react to parkerizing procedure. Anybody know?

Depending on the type of solder you may try Caswells metal black.

If it is silver solder just hit it with silver nitrate and it turns black chemically.
