M1 Garand at farm auction
A sucker born every minute. Yesterday I saw a Springfield 1950s M1 with sanded stock and no markings, unknown replacement barrel, and average or below condition sell for $1060.00 at a farm auction. This included a $50.00 bayonet and 6 or 8 clips. What a bargain!!!

You see that from time to time though, two guys get bidding without thinking and soon it's out of hand. That's the auctioneers whole idea. Hypnotize with fast talk.

Geez. Minty ones are 3 and a quarter at my local smiths. How silly.
