Me, from 1962/1965. I was issued an M14, but I now own 19 M1's and 2 M1A's.

Vietnam type here, in from '66-'69, 16 months in beautiful downtown ChuLai airbase. M-14 in boot, Garand in ITR, long electronics school, Garand at Pendleton for more training, M-14 in Nam, turned it in for the Matty Mattel rifle. Own 3 HRA Garands, 1 Standard Products Carbine, 1 SA '03, 1 Remington 'A3, 1 Remington 1917, and a M1A. D@mn it sucks getting old.
