My Korean war helmet back from the gun show
Hey everyone. I got back from the gun show today and I had brought my Korean War marine corps helmet to display alongside some other named U.S. helmet from WW1 through Vietnam. Just a refresher for anyone who doesn't know the story I found the helmet on ebay a while back and for the price I had to get it. From the research I did find about the marine's service number he enlisted in Louisiana in 52 and served in a couple of places overseas but never saw Korea itself unfortunately. His records went until 57 when I lost him, but it still showed him in service at that time. Since it's been tough to find a real ww2 marine helmet this was a great second choice. I hope you all like it and any comments are welcome. Tomorrow I'm bringing both of my Vietnam captured French berthiers and my dad's VC flag for a war trophy display that is put up by one of the local VFW posts.
