Unless it's got a date stamped on it which I couldn't see in the pictures in the listing how can you be sure that it's definitely WW1 vintage?

F10 i can't find the dates atm but from memory they had changed to the mk3 mid war then mk4 style chargers by the end of ww1.

Sadly Peter just about everything military believe it or not from buttons to bootlaces I draw the line my stripper clips are functional the WWI's come out when I shoot my 1916 just for posterity, now pick your self up off the floor Peter and have another glass of good port.....

Why wouldn't stripper clips be collectable. You have different versions plus a plethora of manufacturers. Some take it more seriously than others.

Is someone out there in forumland going to tell me that stripper clips are collectable
All the fine details of the weapon are collectible. One can have a full range of the manufacturers of M1 clips for instance, I'll bet there's a hundred...some worth a fortune. You already know oil bottles are collectible.
