    Cdn FN C1 gas regulator

I have a 2 kinds of gas regulators in my possession. One has the settings go to "11" and the other up to "12".

Any ideas why they are different? Is one an earlier version?

    Thanks in advance.

Show me a pic of both and I'll tell you which is correct. The book shows 14 settings, numbered zero to twelve. The first is closed the last is wide open. Are you sure the other's not metric?

I will get a pic up shortly. Pretty sure they are all Canadianicon. IIRC the "11" version slowly cuts downwards until it hits the "11". The "12" does the same until it hits "12" and then has a "u" shaped cut at the "12" on it . Does my description make sense?

You mean 13, not 14 correct?

Someone mentioned to me previously, that one version might be from the trials or an early version.

No, the book says 14 radial postitons. Numbered zero to twelve. I remember there being a close off and one was wide open. That must be what it means by 14 total. At first I thought there were only eleven total numbers. I'm just a bit short of F.N.s here to check. I turned mine in in 1987 or so and had a couple since but don't have one to look at. If you come up with a pic, I'll know which one it is. There were several minor variations due to different manufacturers and the EX series but I don't think that part differed much.

I just checked my few examples of Cdn FNs here, and found both C1s (late 8L series, one with milled sight ears and one bolt on sight ears) are both numbered to 11. My C2 is also numbered to 11, and my EX1 example is not numbered at all. I seem to recall this numbering discussion quite some time in the past.
