Universal sporting clays powder
I have several lbs of this powder. It lists a load for 125 grn jhp's in 38 spl. caliber on the can. Does any one use this for 125 grn lead or 148 wadcutters? loading data please. thanks.

Hodgdon book has .38 125 gr cast LRNFP
Universal (? same power? ) 4.3 grs 872 fps 8,700CUP to 4.7 grs 1036 fps 16,800CUP
148gr HDY LHBWC Universal (again same powder as your asking about ??)
2.9 grs 709 fps 7,400 CUP to 3.8 grs 940 fps 15,600 CUP

Universal has similar characteristics to Unique. Personally I prefer a faster powder for light lead bullets in .38 Special, such as regular Clays.
