CANADIAN BAN
So how could anyone be able to carry out the impossible plan to ban 1500 models of assault rifles in Canada? Without a registry how can that be anything more than just pandering?

Most of the AR class are in the restricted class like handguns and are therefore registered. The Ruger mini 14 and the M14 were up until now in the unrestricted class and not registered

Let's not get political and infringe rules guys.
An observation on the practically of the ban .. It's a daunting task for the people who are given the task of enforcement, that's for sure.
Re enforcement, I suppose it's effectively with the ownership of said types.
If someone decides to retain one of the banned types, they would certainly be risking prison time and you wouldn't be able to shoot it anyway....
Scanning the 'very' long list, I see Tippmenn Arms .22lr M4 is on the list, though nominally an AR type, the lower can't be used on a full bore rifle due to the slightly different buffer design and build.
So it's a dedicated .22lr AR lower.
That can come off for one!
