I got a nice Enfield No 4 mk1 two weeks ago (my first milsurp) but after a trip to the range I saw that I had an issue with pierced primers. Based on information from this site and others I ordered a new firing pin, pin spring and bolt head (due to erosion from the pierced primers). The pin and bolt head I got from Liberty Tree Collectors. I checked several other milsurp supply sites but no one else had any No 4 firing pins. I got the parts today but unfortunately the pin's threads are to fine to thread into the cocking piece. I assume this is because I was sent a firing pin for an Enfield No 1. Also the bolt head wouldn't thread into the bolt body far enough to even line up with the longer locking lug which I thought was odd. At this point I'm thinking I should just send the entire bolt to a gunsmith, does anyone know of one in the states that is knowledgeable in Enfields? The local smiths I checked with didn't really seem to know much about Enfield Rifles. Any light anyone could shed on this would much appreciated, thanks.
