What's tapatalk?
What is it and if I download it how will it improve interaction with the forum?
Thanks, Jeff

I have an iPhone and Tapatalk makes it easier for me anyway to navigate the forum.

It's a mobile device application for using our forums, which we've provided external access support for the last three years. I stress the operative word mobile. Its not a replacement for desktop computers or their web browsers, but rather for use with phones and tablets.
Although this help thread is a little dated, it is discussed here:
Can I access the milsurps.com site from dial-up, cell phone, iPhone or Blackberry?
More information specifically on Tapatalk (click here)
You can download the app from Apple's iTunes App Store or if you have an Android, from their store.
Regards,
Doug

Your test is fine ...
Since Tapatalk is designed as a generic application and supports many different kinds of devices as well as host web site software, there are things that don't translate (or render) the same as when usinga real computer with a full web browser.
One of those things on our site is the use of custom code we utilize to permit viewers to pop-up pics. You'll find that Tapatalk takes you to separate pic screens when it encounters that custom code we use, or sometimes just shows thumbnails and not full size pics.
What kind of mobile device are you using?
Regards,
Doug

I'm using an iPad, I really like that you can use pictures straight from your photo album , can PM and thank people. Be nice to go "advanced" in replies, perhaps a later update. Still playing with it but I would definitely recommend this to members using pads/mobile devices.
