    No 1 Mk VI

Any thoughts on the No 1 Mk VI that is being seen on one of the auctions sites? Looks like a clean one to me. Priced at almost 3K. No takers last time I saw.

they did not show details of the rear sight or the plunger (at least when I looked). I thought for that kind of cash there should have been a lot more pictures of the critical features.

Critical to that kind of value that the original rear sight is there, its internally different than the common No4 that looks the same as.

Isn't that a Line Throwing "LT" butt stock on it?

yes it is. that was another mystery, as the front sight was there, along with an early sight protector.

Forend wood has the early grip cuts as well.

Sold for $3,570 (inc shipping). The lack of pictures and "LT" on the buttstock kept me away from it. Might be a good pickup for somebody, but I'm not much of a risk taker any more.

Ach, zo. Auction was over before I read the thread the first time.

Cocking piece is suspect. Willing to guess the front soght protector is a "SM'41".

Don't like the renumbering at all.

I believe y'alls' instincts were right. Looks nice from a distance, but scary money for a project.

Thanks for the reference! It might turn up again. "Improved"
