    An afternoon at the range...

Out for the morning and afternoon with some old friends

    Attachment 36210Attachment 36211

Interestingly the rifle on the right is marked as having been FTR'd twice... (obscured by the flash).

Well A Square, you told me on another site to go to the range, trouble is I've just spent a week on one, not quite as nice as yours. Maybe a bit longer.

It is a nice range, just somwhat damp, so i was restricted to the 100M...

The last time I fired the rifle on the left was in an rifle silouette sanctioned match, off-hand, unsupported to 500M. Surprisingly I actually placed - not high mind you...

I found my last membership card not too long ago, which means that it was 2001 or '02....

'cause that's when I took the job which was going to give me enough spare time that I could compete regularily...

Definitely not as nice. Too many shiny barrels. And ventilated forends. And folk shooting off "lead sleds" and other such froo-froo. You need to find a better hangout...

Belmont in Brisbane, this one is only 1000yds, Cannon Hill range in the same complex is 1200.
Poor old Malabar, needs a bit of TLC.

Should have known better, I was guessing it was a picture of the servcice rifle range, on the right side of the range, not the long range side on the right.
