Brazilian Mauser model 1935 short banner rifle
I recently bought a Mauser stock at an antique store. The price was such that I figured I wouldn't get hurt. My thoughts were to find a sporterized version to restore. After doing some research I believe it's a Brazilian model 1935 short banner rifle, not at all a common easy to find Mauser
Just doing the research was entertaining enough to justify the cost.

No, my stock appears to be shorter between the barrel bands. There is also no leaf type spring retainer at the front metal furniture. If you have Robert Ball's Mauser book it is the one on the top of page 73. (4th addition)
I have Ludwig Olsen's book on order from Brownell's, its on sale for 50% off, we'll see it there is any more info there.
