Red face Issy M44, 1943 date value

The fellow that sold me my Tula M44 offered me an Issy M44 dated 1943 for $275.00 US. I took a pass because I was short after paying too much for the Tula. He'll be attending a show coming up in a couple of weeks, should I just quit crying and fork over the cash? Other than the foreign Mosins I have most of the major variations and would really like to have that gun, but, i'm collecting them because they are affordable, what happened????-SDH

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. 43 Izzys are technically rarer than the typical Tula M44 unless the Tula is a hex. $275 is on the high side of what I'd pay, but worst case you're paying next year's prices this year. A 43 will appreciate fast and frankly they are rare. If it speaks to you, buy it!
