Any K11 experts ?
Am having a clearout of a few items at present, to make way for a new purchase and had the offer of a K11, although I,ve been looking for a while for a K31, the K11 looks a nice rifle, good bore etc, all matching and original, and fits in to the dates of most my other rifles.
Just wonder if there is big difference in accuracy regarding the two, and what should I expect from it at say 200- 600 yds.
I,m a complete novice on these rifles, More of an Enfield man (as some will know) and have a soft spot for the M1903, although one of these will be part of the clearout, a lovely rifle (Rock Island Arsenal very early serial number) but as it doesnt get used so its on the clearout list and will help fund my new purchase and possibly the K11.
I wasnt expecting the K11 to pop up but sods law when your not looking....., but thought I,d give it a go and if what I hear about them is right, should I be expecting Omega watch quality?

Hi bigduke,
The K11 is as accurate as the K31 and most times a bit cheaper. Only thing you will need is a higher frontsight blade to make it shooting at 100 yards. I bought one and after a little work on the forestock( it touched the barrel) it was as good as the K31 and the GP11 worked well. If the price is OK, buy it!

Gunner, where are you finding k11s in similar condition for less than a k31? I've never know that to be the case unless it was a fluke.

Latigo, my dealer had them on stock and he has actual one K11 in good condition for Euro220, which is $308. The K31 over here raised their prices from Euro 250 to 380 - 400 now. The K11 over here is a rare seen rifle with sportshooters for the problem that the original sights are starting at 300m. The most competitions are at 100m, so the shooters want a rifle that starts at 100m with the elevation set up.

D'Oh! Of course. I keep forgetting you're in Europe. Its not the same here at all. We have maybe 5 k11's. Can't remember, but they're all in really good condition, and all of them were an easy $100 more than any of the k31s here except for a couple of k31s that Dad bought from Simpsons a very long time ago when they were scarce in the US. There were far fewer k11s imported than any of the others, and that would make the cost more.
Thanks!

It seems that since so many of all Swiss rifles are now in the country, condition is now a big factor in pricing. Look at the spread from one of the best in the US.

And thanks for the plug, Patrick! But we do also make Scope Mounts for the 1911 and k11s. We'll soon have a clamp-on mount version for the 1911s too, both for Diopters and scopes..
