I found the humour at the end quite amusing but, sadly, today probably politically incorrect?

I've only ever seen one example and that's the stunningly restored B26 in the Utah Beach Museum.

It looks good enough to fire up and fly away!

My understanding is that a reasonable number of B26's operated from the UK during WW2.

The training film showed the early B-26B with the single place nose mg and the early tail gunners position, also looked like the short wing model too. Markings in the film were training markings. photos show moAttachment 104064del of early B-26B

Most of the 9th AF medium bomber force in the UK was equipped with the B-26. The highest number of bomber missions flown by any US aircraft in WW2 was by a B-26B named Flak Bait. It flew 207 missions over occupied Europe, and is one of the few surviving B-26, and has been preserved since the end of the war by the Naitional Air & Space Museum in Virginia.

For many years the CAF operated a B-26 named Carolyn, but it crashed on approach to landing back in 1995 with a loss of all on board.
The B-26 was not an easy aircraft to fly.

I think from memory there was one parked up at YBAF Archerfield years ago that was painted up in yellow,I assumed at the time it had been converted to an aerial water bomber.

That was an A-26, not a B-26.
