M1922M1 info
Hi I'm new to the site and am looking to find out some info on a .22 that was handed down to me from my father. It's a US Springfield Armory M1922M1 from what the stamping shows. From the pics I've seen looks like it may have been changed over the years. Mostly the stock, plus it's been drilled for a scope. It still has a clip which has a stamping of M2 on it. I have attached some pics of the gun. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Stock has been changed, holes have been drilled, front sight has been changed. Give it a try and see if you can remove the front sight. After all your rifle is a M1922 M.I which hadn't been converted to M.II
