L type sight placement
I just purchased and installed a L type peep sight on one of my carbines,
put it on,put in a laser bore sight and tapped it in place. I also purchased
peeps for my 10/22 and SKS. On all of them the convex is toward your eye.
So, I put the L sight convex toward the shooter. Now today I see 2 Inlands
with the convex toward the front sight. Normally I would second guess myself, but Tech-Sights puts convex towards the shooter...

looking through the sight from the back (shooter's perspective) flat side of the peep is toward you. If your flip sight has a letter S on the base, that should be on the left of the receiver when looking from the rear to the front sight.
