It is (or sure appears to be) one of the Hank H. modification jobs. Hank is a retired armourer who has been making these boxes up for years. To call it "arsenal refurbished" is stretching the truth something fierce.
It is indeed a Cno7 chest with the missing 2" added to the bottom. Hank normally sells these for less than $100. This is not Hank selling this one, mind you. I can't be certain, but I did see one move a few tables over at the Calgary show this year, and this may be the same chest.
It makes a nice filler until a guy finds an origional. But it is severely misrepresented in this ad. I would hate to be one of those Europeans who asked him about the shipping (quoted at $118) and ends up getting a Cno7 box.
Ebayers beware....it is this kind of sale that makes one leery of anything on ebay. I read, and reread this ad trying to see anything about repro, and while he does not say the word origional, he doesn't tell the truth either.

The modern non-age-yellowed photocopy of the transit chest instruction label is a nice touch. I wonder if it's even painted over with shellac?

Sent seller question asking to clarify if "original" sniper box or if modified C No.7 chest. See he has not posted my Q and his A as he has done for other questions re:shipping.

LOL and when exactly did they stop "arsenal refurbishing" Canadian No.4T sniper transit chests? 40 years ago? Longer?

I asked him the similar question abuot a week back. Although he did not post my question, he did send back the following response:
Hi. I have a No 7 chest and it is lower than the No15. Also it does not have a compartment for the scope case. Apart from making a complete new one I don?t see how you can make a no 4 T fit in to no 7 case including the scope. . I have sold another identical case last year to a collector in GB. Thanks ARG338
I sent him a note back with my observations that this chest is very similar, and has the traits, of the modified Cno7 chests. His response was:

We wrote the seller a message too and here's his response ...
I appreciate your info. This wooden chest is over 60 years old. Surly, somebody along the way has repaired it, modified it and made modification to it. THIS ITEM WAS SURPLUS 55 YEARS AGO. I also have a No 7 chest and it is lower than the No15. by several inches. Also it does not have a compartment for the scope case. Apart from making a complete new one I don?t see how you can make a No 4 T fit in to no 7 case including the scope . I have another No 15 Chest with LEATHER HANDLES from Crown Surplus (got it 35 years ago) Green on the outside and brown on the inside. Thanks ARG338
I guess there's not much to add, except if it's not a No.7, then it was originally a Long Branch No.4(T) (see hinges and handles), so someone destroyed a lot of collector value by refurbishing it.
Regards,
Badger
