Old military bag need help identify
Hello all I have an old surplus bag my father bought about 20 years ago when we were in the scouts -- bought from a local surplus store in Tallahassee fl and I think the store is no longer open -- we used them to carry our tents and various camping gear in -- it has survived many many camping trips -- I made Eagle Scout and have been using it on and off the past few years
Well the camping bug has hit the family and my son 5 yrs old has really been enjoying the camping we have been doing lately
I'd like to find a few more bags of this kind to store more gear in -- before I was able to keep the tent sleep bag mat tent rope and rain gear but now we just got a new tent and new sleep bags more mats -- it's growing
Here are a few photos showing the bag and markings on it

This bag has stood the test of time
Any help on the identity of this bag and any place I could pick it up would be great
Thanks for the help

Hi Chad,
To me it looks like a post-WW2 medical bag (considering the text on the canvas). JQMD stands for Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot. You might want to look further on this webpage: http://med-dept.com/blankets.php I think this may give you some ideas.

Combat Support Hospital(CASH, MASH) Blanket bag. 10 blankets per bag, 100-200 per MASH, CASH.....Still in use to this day. They held the wool blankets that casualties are covered with...Nice bag and thanks for sharing..
