A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Here in Oz a black and white photo of an AR is legal as long as it has holes drilled in it.

A lot of the pre- semi auto ban service shooters here would give their right n@% for an AR of any type. There are several High Power shooters here that own AR 15's in the States, and go over every year to use 'em at Camp Perry. The need to practice with a particular sight set-up and rifle "feel" has inspired a few really "innovative enfields"

Sorry to have sidetracked the topic a bit, but you guys could probably appreciate the irony of this pic.......

I think that there is a California version that is semi auto, but does not have a detachable magazine. You have to push the pin, open the rifle and load the magazine from the top.

Man, that's worse than here. We can only shoot ours at approved ranges with 5 round mags, but at least we don't have that SBR or California nonsense. I do like my 14.5" Armalite.

    Son,

That Enfield is the NICEST sporter of any kind I've seen!

Quickly remove the picture before I get ideas.
