Found Rainey Day M97
Gentlemen,
On this rainy day in Oklahoma a Win M97 has become available and I am totally ignorant of this shot gun beyond what I have gleaned from the experts here.
Stock has had a recoil pad added and stock was refinished with WW2 inspection stamps which would indicate a WW2 rebuild of the WWI M97 from the info I gathered here but appears in comparing it to the photos here to be the real thing.
Would appreciate your opinions if this M97 is legit.
Thanks in advance
Leggett

Tom,
Thanks for the link. The experts here have always been a great help.
Not sure how to take the responses though, seems to be mixed opinion on if price is reasonable for apparently a mixed M97 or not.
Apparently the current owner lives just across town from me, may have even dealt with him before.
Meeting in the morning to inspect.
Would appreciate any guidance you might offer.
