BIPOD
Hi,
can anyone please identify this BIPOD for me? I picked it up with a bunch of other military equipment. I did not know where to post it so if I posted it in the wrong spot please tell me where to post it.
Thanks,
maxwells

It holds a strong resemblance to a Bren Bipod, perhaps post this over there and those guys might be able to sort it out.

Isn't for a BREN unless there's a piece missing. BREN Bipods
Might be an AR-10 bipod. An original Portugese issue one. Very much a WHAG though.
Picture of one down near the bottom. http://www.ar10.nl/ar10history.htm
Spelling and Grammar count!

Jim alluded that it resembled a Bren bipod, not that it was a Bren bipod, there is a difference.

Jim,
I go to this site almost everyday. I didn't move it to the Bren sub forum because it was right next to the one I posted on & I figured they would look on both. I do indeed want to find out what this Bipod is for because I do want to sell it. I thought maybe it was for the SAW. I did not see any markings on it. I thank everyone for their help so far.

How about a few more pics looking at the sides of the legs and the feet which may or may not help people identify it?
The legs look as if they may be adjustable for height but you don't appear to have stated or confirmed this?
I wondered about the Indian Vickers Berthier mg but looking at pictures it would seem not.
