    Winchester Receiver Marking

I have a new CMPicon Winchester and checking the receiver markings it it marked only Winchester serial number 55824xx. The serial number looks to be hand stamped. My info said Winchesters were marked Winchester trademark, any comments. Thanks Len

Most WRA carbines serial numbers look like they are hand stamped but they weren't. Typical Winchester quality control, build a fully functional carbine/rifle but careless about how it looks.

If you look above the Winchester name you will probably see a very small TRADEMARK. Sometimes it is very hard to see under an adjustable rear sight.
