Need a source for a Enfield No2MkI Hammer

A good friend needs a hammer for his Enfield No2MkI Revolver. He needs the one WITH the spur and NOT the so called"Tanker" version.

Notwithstanding the nonsensical gun laws regarding handguns over the water in the UKicon do any of you know of a source of a hammer or two ?

I once bought one ONLY because Hercules Sales(owned by Archie Goldstein) was having a "St Patrick's Day SALE" and a FTRed Enfield revolver OR a Brand New"War Finish" Webberley in .380/200 was a SUPER $2.49.Me loving a bargoon bought one of each.Once I got tired of playing with them(I was 17) I had no bloody end of trouble trying to sell them. Finally a nice guy offered me a brand new Long Branch No4MkI(NO *) with C/|\ in trade and he got the 2 revolvers.I STILL dislike "wheel guns" but still have that LB No*.

Your help and input re a source of a hammer will be much appreciated.

Email me and I'll see what the Army still has stocked.....................

But be warned that all parts of the little Enfield were selectively hand fitted. This was a pistol for true, time-served Armourers!

During our apprenticeships, Mr Stone, the pistol instructor used to get us to all strip our pistols carefully, using the special tools that we'd made etc etc. Lay the parts out carefully, then chuck the whole class's worth of boit PLUS a big bag more, into an old sheet. Then he'd tell you to come over and take enough parts to re-assemble a pistol. It took xxxxxxx days of grief and heartache to assemble a perfect pistol. THEN you had to range test it too!

Do I like No2 pistols? Yes. Do I like range testing them. Yes. Do I like rebuilding them........... er..., NO!

    John R:
I too am looking for such an item as recently I acquired a frame only No 2 Mk I from a shop on the BC Coast anbd it still had the strut literally glued in place with congealed grease -- so an original hammer would be a real bonus to complete the assembly. Assembling a complete revolver has so far cost me about 100 plus bucks and a bottle of Scotch that was older than most of the women I have dated --- but it is certainly a labour of love...
My 3" bbl No2 MkI does just fine at 15yards as recoil is soaked up by a massive frame and hand filling grips
