I took apart 40 rounds of Hornady 45-70, with the 300 gr. jsp. I have alot of the powder and would like to use it. Anyone know what this powder is?

One thing is for sure it will not be a standard canister reloading powder. There will be no information to use it for reloading. If you know how much powder was in each case then you could use it in the same cases with the original bullets but if not then about all you can do is to feed your lawn with it.

Hornady developed these cartridges for optimo performance using their secret ingredients. Although the powder may look like other powders, you can never be sure, so use as Bruce suggested.
It is very difficult if not impossible to obtain factory ballistics from the powders that are available on the commercial market to the reloader. You may get close, but that's it. Actually, the majority of firearms shoot much more accurate with less than max charges, so it's really pointless to try and obtain factory specs. Just my 2 cents!
