Four very bad photographs of a pistol with a reserve of $57,000 (which it didn't make). The pistol appears correct, but there is much more to being correct than the outside appearance.

The bid is $57,000, the reserve is higher

The market is certainly softening. Within the last year a Singer sold at auction for something north of $165,000. I think that was really a fluke with two people not letting the other outbid him.

Maybe the person that bid the $57,000 had seen it, or maybe it was a friend?
