I think it will fit but there is a simpler Ishy version that would look more apt for the 2A1. The pomel is more square and not shaped like the earlier 1907, I'm sorry but I dont know if it had another designation or was just a 1907 pttn simplified.

I dont know the rifle designations but if it is a posrt WII rifle then you wnat one of the Indian bayonets with the shorter cut down blade, there are those made from old UK 1907's and others new made. If the rifle is a 60's rework in 7.62 rather than .303 then you really want an Ashoka lion marked one as these were Indian Police reworks and the UK crown was removed and the lion replaced it. See my dedicated apges to the 1907 for examples of most of the models.

Indian 1907 Bayonets
Don't know if it helps but there are a couple of Mk2s (?) for sale on the site below which might be of interest for reference purposes.

One is going for 85 pounds and one for 68 pounds which over here seems reasonable. One is dated 1944 and the other 1943. Both also still retain the Crown.

You can get an Ishapore 12 in scabbard (BAY 131) from Sarco inc. for $19.95.
