Meanwhile our children are taught to scream incessantly at the sight of a firearm...
40 to 60 years ago, everyone here was taught basic firearms handling in school too.

I chuckled when I saw the article, as my sister in law is a teacher in Suffolk for 4-5 year olds, and has 25 in her class, 7 of which, she has to change their nappies on a regular basis!!!

Some children are still enjoy being taught how to shoot. Makes for a very pleasant afternoon for the family. Far better than leaving them in front of a computer screen all afternoon!

My eldest son and his family will be over from Oz for Christmas. Several range days for him, the wife, and the two granddaughters are on the agenda. Who needs theme parks when you have firearms and shooting ranges anyway?

My daughter is shooting a Feinwerkbau 300S air rifle in photo 1 and a 1918 SMLE in.22 in the second photo.
She is showing good levels of concentration and accuracy for her age. My wife also shoots; it really is a great family sport.
The key is education. If taught properly; children learn many things such as: responsibility, safety, concentration, respect.
