Recommendations needed for budget spotting scope
I'm looking for a budget spotting scope good for 100 yards. Any recommendations?
I don't shoot competition, so I don't need anything extravagant, but I would like fairly good optics for a fair price.

You'll eventually...
...want to use the scope at further ranges.
The Konus is a great start. They also make a 4" (100mm) scope that is 20x-60x. They can be had for well under $300.
Try B&H Photo in New York. They have a bunch of spotting scopes, and their prices are about the cheapest in the country.

I use the Konus 20-60x, 80 mm & found it offers excellent clarity even at 600 yds.

Make sure you can try first......I have not got a hold of a Konus yet
but I have tried a few budget ones....All of them had **** poor eye relief and no way to use them with your shooting or corrective lenses on.
I could not get a cheap tasco and celestron to focus good enough to see the holes.
I borrowed a freinds no name scope. It showed promise in my yard but when I took it out to the range it fogged up after a few minutes?????

I bought an NCStar 20-60x60 at a gunshow last Saturday. DON'T waste your money. Could not get it to focus with enough clarity to see holes in targets at 100 yds.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll take a look at the Konus.

You'll need a high-powered scope indeed to spot my budget.
