French occupation Mauser HSc
Found this 'French occupation' HSc today..'RW' marking on triggerguard, late war three line slide legend, black plastic grips. Finish is almost gone, but inside of slide and frame are phosphated.
Don't see a lot of these around here, so naturally it came home. I understand a large number of these went to serve in French Indochina.

I don't see any German buzzards on it. Are there any on the other side?

No Reichsadler anywhere...zero markings on the right side.

The HSc was not a real popular pistol when compared to the Walther PP or the PPK during the war. The marking on the trigger guard and the muzzle look a bit alike if you stare at them long enough. But I do not see a serial number on it?

Serial number is on the front bottom of the grip, 963***.
