    It has hard to tell from the pictures, but the bottoms give it an appearance of being machined.

    Nope they were not filled in or welded. The final punch of the holes was only a partial as you can see in this picture. Rick Bicon

    In the last photo I posted you can clearly see the punch mark that was done with little pressure when it should have been more to complete the hole. This piece is not a fake nor any reason to fake a flat band to have no holes. Rick Bicon

    It is not fake, you have to look at the photos and you can see it was not welded
